She stands and looks down at the sleeping figure as she ponders a quickly deteriorating relationship. The overlapping and oddly reverberant vocals represent a number of simultaneous thoughts as they echo and ricochet, fading within the confines of a disillusioned skull.
lyrics
Born of forgotten dreams, drawn from divinity
(Born of forgotten dreams...)
Your eyes reflect God’s schemes, a subtle blasphemy
(Your eyes reflect God’s schemes...)
Thrown into sharp relief, unheard of ecstasy
(I still have eyes to see...)
Yet I am in despair of truly reaching you
(But now there is no light...)
And live again what might have been…
Awake as you sleep, in silence so deep yet
Deafened by a choir of demons
Quicksilver moonlight plays, soft dance upon your skin
(Quicksilver moonlight plays...)
No price I would not pay to hold you once again
(No price I would not pay...)
Each and every day, one ends the next begins
(I still have time to grieve...)
And yet I still remain in shadowed solitude
(but lost the will to fight...)
In love restrained, my heart in chains…
Revisit the day, a promise you’d made, but
Hope remains strangely elusive
All ... we’ve ever been...
Is all ... we’ll ever be…
And all ... the words we say ... until today
Touch upon nothing…
So many times I’ve tried making some amends
(I gave it all that I could give...)
So many times I’ve failed to quite understand you
(Began so small and got too big...)
How much more can I give in to your demands?
(I watched it fall, sand through a sieve...)
Juggler balancing, afraid to drop the ball
In my own mind I grasp at the straws of fear
(I gave it all that I could give...)
Rehearsed the lines that I try to hold so dear now
(Began so small and got too big...)
Remember times I lapsed into sudden tears
(I watched it fall, sand through a sieve...)
And so we remain touching nothing at all
Regret again, what might have been…
In life restrained, decorum reigns…
I linger on…

I jokingly refer to myself as “First Among Equals” at Quicksilver Night and, while I am deeply involved in all aspects of
productions
at each step, I know that cannot do this alone. I am very grateful for the support of my song-specific collaborators and tech-savvy friends.
Wonderful, beautiful, densely layered music. I'm glad I gave this album several headphone listens before commenting. It did not immediately strike a chord with me, but the more I listened the more I began to understand and appreciate how fantastically rich and deep the sound is. For fans of atmospheric and melodic prog, this is an excellent addition. Bass and drum work are exquisite! paliojen_black
